The new governing board of the Australian branch of the HP user group is planning to reinvigorate the organisation starting with breakfast meetings in Sydney and Melbourne in October.

Termed a ‘relaunch’ the new emphasis is on engaging a wider section of the HP digital user base including wide-format users as well as HP Indigo printers. The aim is to attract not only business owners but also their sales people and machine operators to the professional development events.

According to Kelvin Gage, Dominion Print NSW, one of the new committee, Dscoop Australia has the potential to become one of the most vibrant professional organisations in the industry.

“There are around 100 HP Indigo users in Australia [150 plus if you count New Zealand … ed]  and many more companies using HP wide format. We want them all to be part of Dscoop’s collaborative community,” said Gage. “Dscoop is all about community: interacting with peers, exchanging experiences, sharing and learning best practices.”

The kick-off breakfast functions (Melbourne on 21 October and Sydney on 23 October) will feature renowned futurist, Craig Rispin, setting the forward-looking emphasis the new committee wants to encourage.

The invitation to the events encapsulates the new mission; [To] provide a collaborative community where HP graphic arts customers, HP subject matter experts, industry partners and other selected thought leaders share knowledge that leads to increased profit and revenue for owners, improved productivity for operators and enhanced value for HP products and services.

As a valued member of Dscoop you are a big part of the future of this exciting industry. So join us to learn what the future has in store.

Invitations to the events will be delivered over the next few weeks but meantime you can RSVP here or contact Shadi Taleb in Melbourne or Kelvin Gage in Sydney. All attendees will be eligible for a free invitation, one per business, to Dscoop 10 in the USA in March next year, courtesy of Currie Group.

Short for Digital Solutions Cooperative, Dscoop is an independent community of HP Graphic Arts business owners and technical professionals who use HP Indigo, Scitex, high-end Latex, and Inkjet equipment. Founded in 2005, Dscoop membership now supports HP Graphic Arts users throughout the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific and Japan.
