New business model puts Worldwide Online Printing back on track

Restructuring of national franchise printing business, Worldwide Online Printing, results in growth in its first month of operation.

The business suffered a massive blow earlier this year when its headquarters went into administration, but resurfaced in July when a sale was approved to Doublewest.

According to managing director, Rob Dallimore, (pictured) at the end of July, the franchise operation’s sales had increased by six per cent on the same period last year. Dallimore attributed the growth to a new business model that is “leaner” and “able to focus on the franchising side of the business, which will provide increased on-the-ground support to its centre.”

The administration, franchising and marketing centre has also relocated to Sydney.

At a time when printing is moving into new areas, such as marketing (competitor, Snap, even removed ’print’ from its name and recently announced its new marketing services brand, Snap Level 2), Dallimore stressed the importance of being a one-stop-shop.

“While a number of competitors are now moving to become a full design and marketing agency, Worldwide has been offering these services for a number of years,” he said.

Dallimore also anticipates a stronger presence in digital printing. “Worldwide has digital hubs in Western Australia and South Australia and is looking to expand this model further,” he said.
