New chief for Agfa Graphic Systems

Stefaan Vanhooren is the new head of the Agfa graphic systems business group, while Marc Olivié is executive vice president. Graphics is one of two remaining divisons in the slimmed down company following last year's spinoffs. The other is healthcare.

Ludo Verhoeven, CEO, said the company is focused on developing its imaging business in both sectors of the market. “Over the past year we have focused our portfolio of businesses and refined the strategy of our two business groups. In both businesses, we will consolidate our strong positions in imaging and will build new growth platforms – industrial inkjet for graphic systems, and IT in healthcare.”

Agfa intends to establish the two business groups as independently operating divisions within the organisation over a two-year period, taking full responsibility for profits and losses “This transformation will allow the businesses to better pursue their own distinct strategies with sufficient independence and support,” says Verhoeven.
