New faces and people movements in the industry
The roller and consumables supplier is expanding the service and support it provides to customers in NSW. Lievre brings a strong technical focus to the new position, the result of his experience as a printer in metal decorating and a background that encompasses lithographic, screen and digital print.
Lievre (pictured right) served his apprenticeship at packaging and specialty printers Pacmetal Services, where he became production manager before taking on a sales role at screenprinting and digital supplier Brite Solutions. He first came into contact with Böttcher at Pacmetal Services while searching for a roller solution to cope with the heavy demands of metal printing.
“That's when I realised that Böttcher had a good product and a good reputation in the industry,” says Lievre.
The new appointment in is a continuation of Böttcher's strategy of appointing technically focused representatives to look after its customers. Last year Paul Harkess was appointed to lead the company's operations in Queensland and, more recently, Stephen Gamble, another ex-pressman, also joined the company to provide additional support to customers.
“Scott came to us because he displayed a passion for all things in print and a desire to bring about improvements for our customers,” says Mitch Mulligan, managing director at Böttcher Systems. “He is strong technically and will provide invaluable help for us in the field where his role will be to work with customers to solve problems and add value.”
Böttcher says Lievre has hit the ground running and is already busy meeting up with customers to find out what his company can deliver in terms of technical solutions across a wide range of press models and types.
