New Goss Sunday 4000 for AIW Printing
Heatset web printer, AIW Printing, installs new 80-page Goss Sunday 4000 system.
Staff at the Melbourne printer put ink on paper with the new press on 6 August. This month, it will go into full production.
The installation process was smooth and from here, the company will have a number of new opportunities according to Peter Clark, CEO.
"We have grown our business by always investing in the latest, automated technology available for prepress, printing and finishing," he said.
"We are always looking for efficiencies with production and technology that is the most environmentally sound on the market. The new Sunday press is the latest example, and we look forward to passing on the print quality, productivity, environmental and efficiency advantages of this high-pagination system to our customers."
The Goss Ecocoll dryer supplied with the Sunday press and waste reduction features all support AIW's focus on the environment, which Clarke said made it an attractive choice for the company.
The 80-page Sunday 400 system is the latest and largest of several new Goss heatset presses to be installed at AIW over the last seven years. Clark was impressed by the ongoing relationship between the two.
"We appreciate the skill and the professionalism Goss International brought to the installation process," he said. "Our teams have worked very well together, and that teamwork was the key ingredient in the on-time start-up of this large, technologically advanced press."
