New graphics supplier steps up to the plate

Tom Ralph, managing director of Graph-Pak, has worked as a sales manager at DKSH Australia over the past five years. Ralph claims he is establishing the new company in order to place the focus solely on graphic arts.

“I feel I can offer a better service to the industry,” says Ralph. “While DKSH is a company that services a lot of different areas, I think it is a great time to establish a provider that funnels all of its energy into the graphic arts.”

Ralph hopes to distinguish his new company by paying extra attention to service, and establishing tight relationships with its customers. Graph-Pak has already secured distribution for Rima-System, Autobond, Bush, Elite Cameron, Dacro and SCM, and Ralph says the marketing and prices of all the equipment will be tailored for the local market.

“Too many of the big international companies are top heavy, but are missing the vital communications channels,” says Ralph. “We will be working closely with our customers and channelling that feedback to our international suppliers, all of whom see eye to eye with us on our mission statement.”

Graph-Pak plans to specialise in postpress and finishing as a starting point, an area in which Ralph holds 25 years experience, and the company will shortly be taking onboard industry specialists in other areas like packaging, converting and consumables.
