Fuji Xerox Printers has appointed a new NZ country manager, following the departure of Bruce Koefoed earlier this year.

Angus Malietoa has moved from Kyocera to take up the position after boosting Kyocera's reseller network by 300 percent, and brings with him 15 years of printing industry experience.

In his new role, Malietoa will be charged with driving channel, retail and distribution sales within the region, as well as maintaining relationships with current partners and resellers. “With a world-renowned brand and a strong partner engagement strategy, our focus is to increase our support with existing partners and develop new relationships across NZ," Malietoa said.

As 'people buy from people', Malietoa says his aim is for Fuji Xerox to be as visible a partner as possible and to get in front of their resellers to help them secure opportunities. "With a reliable and pro-active team operating out of Auckland, New Zealand resellers can be confident that Fuji Xerox Printers is committed to delivering world class service and products locally and ensuring our customer’s experience the quality brand that is Fuji Xerox.”

Malietoa has previously held management and sales roles at Ricoh and Fuji Xerox New Zealand. His appointment is not connected to the departure of managing director Gavin Pollard from FXNZ last week following the company's accounting scandal, as Fuji Xerox Printers, though part of the same family, is a separate company.

Malietoa's predecessor Bruce Koefoed moved into a Strategic Sales Manager position with FXNZ in February.
