Marisa Rossi from BJ Ball and Sandy Aspinall from Bowden Group will take on the local patrons’ role for Women in Print in South Australia.

“We are thrilled to welcome them on board," says Karen Goldsmith, the organisation’s NSW patron. "As long time attendees of the Women in Print events, Marisa and Sandy answered the call to become involved due to their passion for the industry. Both felt that a lot of the social culture in the industry in South Australia has been lost with the demise of the PICA’s and that there is a lack of networking opportunities."

Former SA patron Dorothy Staruchowicz is unable to continue with the voluntary role due to her ongoing commitments with Media Super.

“Marisa works with BJ Ball as a sales executive and loves that BJ Ball is much more than just paper,” says Goldsmith. “She is passionate about seeing the great results that South Australia’s talented designers and printers produce with BJ Ball’s products.

“Sandy started her industry career in the classified ads section of the Adelaide News before progressing into production/studio management roles within various advertising agencies until moving into printing starting with Custom Press as prepress manager and then roles at Hyde Park Press, Copycat Printing and Document Services. She has recently started with Bowden Group as account manager/business development.

“Both women believe that the event is a great chance to meet others within the industry and to build networks. They are looking forward to working with the Adelaide audience to grow the event and customise to the market there.

“The Women in Print team looks forward to working with Sandy and Marisa in 2017. Please look out for our next event at PacPrint17.”
