NSW Opposition Leader to address awards night

The PrintNSW Excellence Awards will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Coogee on Friday 15 September, and Debnam will provide attendees with an insight into how the industry could be impacted if there is a change of State government after the March 2007 State Election.

Robert Fuller, general manager of Printing Industries NSW, says the peak industry body is overjoyed it has secured such a speaker and claims it consolidates the excellent reputation of the PrintNSW Awards.

"PrintNSW Awards are now clearly acknowledged by NSW government policy makers as the peak industry awards for the print, graphic and visual communications industry,” says Fuller.

“We are delighted that the leader of the Opposition is able to join with us to celebrate the industry's achievements in business and product excellence.”

The evening's entertainment is also set to get a revamp compared to previous years and will include the young and sassy group The String Divas along with popular dance band Mojo to kick on after the formalities are completed.

“The Association in NSW is enhancing its performance and industry perceptions by providing a first class evening that will match any other industry awards evening,” says Fuller.

Peter Debnam is also the state member for Vaucluse, shadow NSW treasurer, shadow minister for Western Sydney, shadow minister for Redfern/Waterloo and shadow minister for citizenship. He served in the Royal Australian Navy from 1972-80.

Entries to the competition close 5pm this Friday, giving the industry one last chance to get submissions in. Printing Industries says tickets to the event are selling fast, click here to view full Dinner Award details.
