The swissQprint Nyala wide format flatbed inkjet printer at Positive Camtec’s PacPrint stand is netting the company Swiss prestige, with the printer picking up a Print21PacPrint HotPick.

Swiss prestige: (L-R) Adriano Gut, Nicholas Pond and Phillip Trumble.

Phillip Trumble, Positive Camtec managing director, and Adriano Gut, the company’s sales and marketing manager, were on hand to receive the HotPick from Print21 deputy publisher, Nicholas Pond.

“The show’s been great so far,” said Trumble. “Yesterday was quite busy, and we expect today and tomorrow to be quite big. It’ll warm up by the afternoon.”

The Nyala is one of a series of precision wide format machines from swissQprint sold locally through Positive Camtec. It has an extra large print bed measuring 3.2 by 1.6 metres and offers enough room for the most popular panel formats. The  machine processes material at a rate of up to 200 sqm/h, with nine colour channels.

The roll-to-roll option for printing on mesh, banner, vinyl and similar material unwinds roll material precisely. With the so-called board option, that boasts a clever transport method for oversized rigid substrates, the large table may be expanded to a vast size of 3.2 m x 4 m.
