NZ industry makes print a part of life online

Launch of a Facebook page for Print: Part of Life marks a new stage in the New Zealand campaign’s development, while some companies are also producing their own promotional material for the cause.

According to Alicia Lambert, communications advisor,?PrintNZ, there has been a steady interest in the Facebook page. “Obviously we have to build up our following which will take time. At this stage, we are encouraging industry members to sign up and share the page with family and friends as a starting point to increase our following,” she said.

Meanwhile, other printers have been active in promoting the industry the best way they know how: through print. Christchurch-based Adgraphix has produced a sign (pictured), which has been placed on its premises, while Blenheim Printing included the Part of Life logo on its promotional sigh at Landsdowne Park in Blenheim – home of local ITM rugby team, the Tasman Makos.

“They have had a few enquiries about it and have directed people on the Print: Part of Life website,” Lambert said.

With almost 200 Print Champions signed up, 2011 will focus on putting the word out there to the public. “The main push now is getting them to use the Part of Life collateral to get the positive messages about print out to print buyers and on to consumers,” Lambert said.
