Canon’s wide-format printer the Océ ColorWave 700 - ' a whole business in a box' - won a Print21 Hot Pick award on day two at Printex.

The ColorWave 700 with Océ MediaSense technology lets shops print on media up to 0.8 mm outputting up to 1,800 A1 CAD drawings or 640 high quality posters per 8-hour working day. It can also print on low-cost uncoated media or high-end specialties to meet customer demands.

Commercial printers can use the Océ ColorWave 700 to consolidate their large format plan and map printing along with graphical applications onto one easy-to-use system. It can replace multiple colour inkjet printing systems and improve efficiency.

Designed to work side-by-side with people, the ColorWave 700 is described as a user-friendly and planet-friendly choice. It can print on recycled and carbon neutral media and has good de-inking properties. The Océ TonerPearls® ensure there’s no fine dust, no odour and minimal waste disposal.
