Oce rides high with PlotWave 300

Oce boasts its greenest system with the national release of the PlotWave 300 wide format monochrome printer with colour scanning.

Designed for small, decentralised workgroups in engineering, architectural, construction and manufacturing companies, the OcÄ PlotWave 300 fits in tiny spaces, freeing up valuable office real estate due to its remarkably small footprint.

According to marketing manager for Oce wide format systems, Paul Whitehead, the compact single footprint is ideal for print providers looking to offer more services to their customers with wide format printing and scanning, but have space restrictions when it comes to installing new equipment.

“The Oce PlotWave 300 is the first wide format print system with a USB flash drive, allowing users to print and scan documents at the system, rather than using a desktop computer,” he said.

“Additionally, the Oce PlotWave 300 uses unique patented Oce Radiant Fusing technology, purpose-built to provide the most efficient way to fuse toner onto the paper and to reduce operating time.”

Whitehead believes the advantage is that conventional roller-based systems have long warm-up and cool-down periods which waste time and energy. Oce Radiant Fusing technology allows the printer to start up instantly, using half the energy of comparable systems. It also addresses the trend to decentralised printing being seen in technical documentation.

“In such an environment, systems must be easy to use, energy efficient and quiet, instantly ready to print when needed, and able to withstand the workload of multiple users,” he said.

“The Oce PlotWave 300, with its simple operation, energy efficiency, and durable design, satisfies all these needs better than any other product in its class.”
