Based in Sydney, Grima will be responsible for the company’s sales, marketing, account management, services, and partner channel strategy.

In the commercial space OKI owns the ColourPainter wide format printer range, and has just launched a range of digital label printers, the Pro C1040 and Pro C1050.

Grima replaces Alex Kawamura who was appointed managing director for Australia in October 2017. Kawamura will take up a new role leading the product development and business division in OKI Data’s Japan headquarters for both the US and ANZ markets.

Grima said he was honoured to be appointed as the new managing director for the ANZ region. “We have just celebrated our 10-year anniversary in December, and I am looking forward to working with our talented team and partners as the managing director in 2020.”

OKI Data said Grima will introduce the new OKI Advantage Partner Program and online Partner Portal in Australia and New Zealand.

“At OKI, we value our partners and this program shows our commitment in offering them a great support network,” Grima said.
“The programme focuses on providing the assistance and tools needed to become a successful OKI partner and continued nurturing to build a strong and successful working relationship.”

Prior to his time at OKI Data, Grima was the Australia general manager of Fuji Xerox Printers, where he led the implementation of a new channel partner programme, reconfigured the company’s sales pipeline and improved service levels. He also worked for Avery Dennison.
