The original auction was abruptly pulled last week, with the administrators aiming to sell the business as a going concern. However, no realistic buyers have eventuated, so the kit is back up for auction with no reserve on most of it.

The online auction runs until noon next Wednesday. There is an inspection open house at the premises next Tuesday. No pre-booking is required. Social distancing will be maintained in the 2500sqm premises.

Craftech was bought three years ago by current owner Peter Friend-Ngui – formerly national marketing manager at paper merchant BJ Ball – from Des Mason and operated as a one-stop wide format shop.

The company produced point of sale; in-store marketing; promotional material; banners; posters; outdoor signage; and temporary and semi-permanent in-store displays. It also offered laser engraving and cutting. It had its own design studio.

An impressive range of kit is up for auction including two Oce Arizona UV flatbed printers, one a seven-colour and one a five-colour. There is also a 2014 Oce Zund ProCut CNC laser cutter and two Oce Zund ProCut 2500L flat bed cutters, one with router.

Also up for bids is a 2018 Trotec Speedy 400 laser engraver, and a 2012 Mistral M1650 vertical flow single sided laminator, along with the usual array of equipment found in a busy wide format printshop.
