OnDemand buys Pemara Screen Digital

Bruce Peddlesden increases his wide format printing capacity to complement his digital printing business.

“I used to do quite a lot of screen printing in the early days before I switched to digital. When this opportunity came along it seemed the right thing to able to offer my customers a more balanced offering,” said Peddlesden on completion of the deal, which took effect at the beginning of the month.

OnDemand is one of the most high-profile and largest digital printers in the country and the first ISO digital printer in the region. It already operates a HP Turbojet UV flatbed inkjet engine for large posters and point-of-sale work in addition to its HP Indigo 7000 and 5000 presses.

The deal involves the transfer of some Roland wide format machines along with silkscreen printing equipment. It sees Pemara exit the wide-format sector as the label giant concentrates on its increasing focus in Asia.

“The Pemara screen and digital is a good little business. It allows us to develop some cross marketing offers,” said Peddlesden.
