Ooh!Media has named Michaela Chan as chief marketing officer and Brendon Cropper as digital strategy director as it continues its push into the expanding outdoor advertising market.

Michaela Chan was previously in charge of strategic direction at Telstra’s consumer, SMB and enterprise segments and has 20 years’ experience in brand and customer engagement. She was also a global brand manager for Chevron. Brendon Cropper ran his own digital marketing training business, Digital Training.

“Mr Cropper will lead oOh!’s vision in advancing its digital and programmatic systems, including new digital product, innovation and development, as well as advise on potential acquisitions that will complement the company’s commitment to build up its portfolio of integrated online and offline products,” said a company press release.

oOh! Media’s CEO, Brendon Cook, said the two appointments would bolster an already strong executive team. Cropper has already started, while Chan commences on 28 September.

“As experts in their fields, they will help oOh! take a significant step towards enabling its longer term business strategies and truly delivering a world-leading approach to audience-based connection,” Cook said.

Ooh! Media and APN Outdoor account for around 70 per cent of out-of-home advertising revenues in Australia. PricewaterhouseCoopers has forecast that out-of-home advertising will increase to $856 million annually by 2019.
