The Ovato supersite in Warwick Farm will house seven heatset web presses when it is fully operational later this year, making it the biggest print site in the country, and one of the biggest in the world.

A 64pp manroland Lithoman that came over from Moorebank is the latest press to be commissioned. The new 80pp manroland Lithoman will be commissioned in October. In total Warwick Farm will have one 96pp, one 80pp, two 64pp, one 48pp, and two 16pp heatset web presses.

Adrian O'Connor, CEO, print & residential distribution at Ovato said, “Warwick Farm will be an incredibly productive plant. Its prepress and finishing will be world class, to match the print power.” There will be two perfect binders at the site.

When Warwick Farm is fully operational Ovato will decommission its Moorebank site. That is likely to happen by the end of the year. The company says it will save $24m a year by closing Moorebank and creating one consolidated print site in NSW.
