Over 100 local professionals to travel to Océ open house in February
According to Tim Saleeba, marketing manager, Océ Digital Document Systems, the event is a huge showcase for digital printing equipment, featuring hardware and software concepts, real-life printing and business case studies and applications to help extend business.
“Last year we were well represented by Australians and New Zealanders, with more than 100 customers attending and the response was overwhelmingly positive,” Saleeba says.
“What appeals to many people attending is that it’s not just a display of equipment, but explores important industry issues and ways of overcoming challenges.”
For the graphics arts professional Océ Open House will focus on new online services, archiving and CD publishing and complementing offset services with quality collaterals.
“The graphics industry is being challenged by shorter print runs and faster turnaround times,” says Saleeba.
To meet these challenges Océ Open House will feature digital applications that demonstrate:
“Direct marketing and mailing professionals can explore technologies that allow them to communicate more effectively and more efficiently with their customers through database management and archiving solutions, automated response handling and ideas for multi-channel communication.
Corporate digital printing is also central to Océ Open House.
“This year we’re featuring a number of specialist programmes aimed at developing corporate document environments to enhance workflow within an organization. Visitors will also be shown Océ programmes for setting up professional print rooms, enhanced office printing programs and streamlining, EDP and transaction printing.”
The expo gives equal time to Océ’s wide format equipment, reflecting the fact that one on every three engineering drawings around the world is produced on Océ equipment. This year Saleeba says that Océ OpenHouse will feature powerful technical document applications to help lower cost of ownership and increase system productivity.
The engineering equipment will be complemented by Océ’s high-end wide format display graphics equipment and software applications.
Central to this year’s Océ OpenHouse will be demonstrations of the company’s two recent releases in Australia the Océ VarioPrint 2110 black and white printing system and the Océ CPS900 digital colour system, dubbed by many industry professionals as the “closest yet to offset output”.
Australians who would like to join the 4,000 professionals attending Océ Open House can register online www.oce.com or by contacting Josie Fitt at Océ on (03) 9730 3392
