Printing Industries board members Ron Patterson and Chris Segaert will join Peter Lane as the Association's representatives on the board of PacPrint 2017.
Segaert, a former Printing Industries president, is a long-serving member of the PIAA Board. Patterson was recently elected as Victorian representative, returning to the Association after his departure as Victorian state secretary in 2012.
Their fellow PacPrint board members are chairman Adrian Fleming from Print IQ, Anthony Lewis from Konica Minolta and Anthony Parnemann from EFI, who have all been on the Board since its formation early this year.
“We are delighted to welcome Ron and Chris as the new Printing Industries representatives on the PacPrint Board, and look forward to their input, which will be drawn from their broad industry experience and informed by their long association and deep commitment to the print and graphic communications sector,” said Fleming.
“PacPrint 2017 is already shaping up as an exciting show and an absolute ‘must see’ event for businesses as they seek to meet the challenges of today’s rapidly evolving market and build a solid foundation for future success.
“We are fortunate to have such a strong Board to guide the strategy and development around the show, to ensure it provides outstanding value to both exhibitors and visitors.”
Both Patterson and Segaert have worked on previous PacPrint and PrintEx exhibitions, and are excited to be part of 2017's event. "I’ve been on a few PacPrint boards over the years, and was Chairman of PacPrint 2005, so I'm looking forward to serving on next year’s event. I’m absolutely thrilled to bits. It’s a different show today than it was five years ago, but it should be a lot of fun, and once we get stuck into it it’ll be great. Most of the work is pretty well down the track, so the most I can do is help where I can," Patterson said.
Segaert says PacPrint 2017 will be as successful as ever, and is glad to be back on the team. "I’ve worked on PacPrint at least twice before, it’s something I’m used to doing, and I’m looking forward to it. Preparation is going well from what I’ve heard, it’s always been done well, so it should be as successful as previous ones we’ve had," he said.
PacPrint 2017 will be held from May 23-26 next year at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, and will incorporate Visual Impact. To find out more, go to www.pacprint.com.au.
