Good crowds at PacPrint on Day Three got to see a cornucopia of the latest printing technology releases across the complete spectrum of industry production. Suppliers have excelled themselves in presenting the most comprehensive collection of cutting edge technology to be seen. Many pieces of machinery and software on display have not been seen anywhere else so far.
According to Print21 publisher, Patrick Howard, the level of technology at the show sets a benchmark for the world. “The local industry should be proud that we operate at such a high level. We may not be the largest market in terms of size and numbers but PacPrint is by far the best presentation of the latest graphic arts equipment likely to be seen anywhere in the world this year,” he said. “We are almost overwhelmed by the number of innovative products that deserve to be acknowledged.”
Print21 was kept busy handing out HotPicks to a wide variety of industry suppliers even as reports continued to come through of good sales been made off the exhibition booths.
Hot Pick for Konica Minolta’s world first release of its spectro-densitometer.
Recently appointed Australian managing director, Dr David Cooke joined sales director, David Procter in accepting the HotPick for the new colour measuring device at the stand. Newly designed and developed by Konica Minolta engineers the spectro-densitometer is an integral part of the company’s increasing focus on colour.
Canon Hot Pick is picked for its Arizona range.
Canon gets a Hot Pick for the Océ Arizona 480 GT UV flatbed getting its first outing at PacPrint. The latest iteration of the Arizona range, the 480 is ultra fast and thanks to the UV drying is able to print on almost any substrate.
Ryobi offset gets recognition for its UV performance
Cyber is the only exhibitor to bring an offset press to PacPrint and for that alone it is deserving of a Hot Pick. But the 928P four-over-four perfector with UV drying is up there with the world’s best presses and attracted crowds of spectators for the demonstration.
