New graphic arts powerhouse, Starleaton, hosted EFI executives to its ‘tree of life’ stand at the Melbourne show where it staked its claim to supplying a wide range of product sectors.
According to Ben Eaton, CEO, the Starleaton exhibition stand is designed to show the industry the breadth of products and services the company now delivers. “This is the launch of the new Starleaton. We’ve got so much really excellent technology to talk about from wide format to software and substrates. It’s the start of a new era,” he said.
Following its acquisition of DES, the newly expanded company is front and centre at PacPrint with one of the largest exhibition stands at the show. A large number of wide format engines, mainly EFI but also Epson, is on display under the creative shade of a ‘tree of life’ made from paperboard.
Starleaton is the recipient of a Print21 Technology Hot Pick for its EFI fabric inkjet printer, the FabriVU 340. This innovative printer is right in the zone for printers looking to expand their product offerings. Fabric printing is proving to be a lucrative market for companies with wide format experience seeking to enter the soft signage graphics market.
The FabriUV 340 produces fabric graphics that are printed direct to textile or indirect via transfer process. It creates soft signs and fabric displays that retain drape and soft hand graphics that can be washed and dried without wrinkling, folded without leaving marks, and reused.
“We’ve brought over $2 million of equipment to the show, most of which will be sold off the stand. The FabriVU 340 is one of the standout stars from EFI and I couldn’t be happier with the interest shown so far,” said Eaton.
He made the point that Starleaton also has in-depth knowledge and expertise in colour control and standardisation to close the loop in the wide format and signage space. With CGS colour experts from Germany available on the stand he invites visitors to explore the better production avenues now available to the industry.
