European digital printing giant Xeikon has kicked off its first-ever PacPrint with a Print21 Technology Hot Pick for its CX3 "Cheetah" label press.
Trevor Crowley, sales general manager for Xeikon Australia and New Zealand, and Bent Serritslev, managing director for Xeikon Asia-Pacific, were on hand to accept the award for the toner-based five-colour digital label press, which is running live on stand A22.
"We're both honoured and really excited to be one of the Hot Picks for PacPrint, and excited to be here as Xeikon at the show for 2017. It's great to see so many other exhibitors here, and we're looking forward to a prosperous and busy few days," Crowley said.
This five-colour press, dedicated solely to the production of self-adhesive/pressure sensitive labels, offers variable substrate widths up to 330mm and comes with a top speed of 30m/min. It offers all the benefits that make Xeikon presses unique: full rotary printing, true 1200 x 3600 dpi print resolution, food safe toners and one pass opaque white toner. Next to the standard CMYK + White, the fifth station can be used to print gamut extension or security colours without reducing productivity, Xeikon says.
Xeikon, a subsidiary of Flint Group, launched its dedicated sales, service and support division in Australia in February.
