PacPrint investment flows for Fuji Xerox

PacPrint proves its importance for Fuji Xerox, resulting in 160 orders for latest equipment.

Orders for Fuji Xerox’s new 700 Digital Color Press have reached 150 systems since launch, while Xerox iGen4 sales have now exceeded 10 units.

Simon Lane, (pictured) national manager for production services business at Fuji Xerox Australia, attributed the success to both timing and investment allowance. “We launched paradigm-shifting print platforms at PacPrint, which grabbed the market’s attention. The timing of PacPrint was perfect for the industry, falling just one month prior to the 30 June deadline for phase one of the Government investment allowance,” he said.

Lane said many of the orders for the 700 Digital Color Press have been signed by customers who are new to digital printing. The Xerox iGen4 sales have been to a combination of existing Xerox iGen3 users and new clients, reinforcing the broad appeal of the Xerox iGen4 platform.

“The iGen4 is being installed into commercial printers, mailing houses, photo book manufacturers and more,” said Lane. “It is meeting our customers’ needs for productivity, image quality and automation.”

At PacPrint, Fuji Xerox Australia also announced its release of a Hire Purchase finance agreement, to assist eligible businesses to take advantage of the Federal Government’s investment allowance. This allowance enables small business to purchase equipment through to 31 December 2009 and potentially gain the benefit of the tax rebate.

“Despite the gloomy outlook from various commentators, we’re genuinely impressed by the resilience and entrepreneurial nature of our many customers, who are seeing 2009 as an opportunity to win customers and grow their business,” Lane said.
