Paper promotion flashes print talent

Sydney printers and embellishers showcase industry creativity through each letter of the alphabet for K.W.Doggett’s new Keaykolour range.

Using different printing techniques on each card, the print specialists joined design studio Naughtyfish to display the breadth of what is technically achievable with the new stock.

Drawing on local talent, the paper supplier called upon Goldcraft Embossing for foiling and blind embossing, and Green and Gold for printing. Raised Image used its skills in virco, Horizon covered screen-printing as Engraved laser cut and etched the cards.

Naughtyfish’s Paul Garbett says the alphabet flash card concept enabled the group to explore a broad range of stock options and printing techniques. “Virco, for instance is one technique we think deserves a revival.

“The promo also provided us with the opportunity to explore typography and enter into some playful experimentation to craft the letters,” he says.

Due to its varied weight range, all the way up to 400gsm card stock, Keakolour can be used by designers and printers for all types of collateral. It is suitable for brochure covers, business card swing tags, invites, certificates, menus and presentation folders.

Manufactured in the UK by Arjowiggins, the new paper stock range includes Antique, Parchment and Recycled grades.
