PaperlinX Australia – reports to US, MD is in London

The departure of Larry Jackson as executive general manager from PaperlinX Merchanting Australia continues the international orientation of the company’s management.

Jackson left on Wednesday after two and half years heading up the local merchanting arm. During that time PaperlinX got out of local paper production, changed its managing director and shifted its managing director to London.

According to a Paperlinx spokesperson, Jackson’s departure was a mutually agreed upon decision. “The company is continually reviewing its business structure to ensure its appropriateness for the business conditions. This decision was made with the full knowledge and support of Larry.”

Chris Creighton, president of Paperlinx North America will now take over the reins of Australian operations, leaving little to no impact with the management shift.

Jackson’s departure comes nine months after the termination of chief executive Tom Park, who was replaced by Toby Marchant, chief executive of Paperlinx Europe.

He was appointed executive general manager to PaperlinX ANZA in 2008 after his role as president of Canada operations.
