PaperlinX promotions add change to management team
Management reshuffle as Shirer steps down from PaperlinX.
David Shirer, executive general manager corporate affairs, leaves PaperlinX next month after 10 years with the company to take up new role at Toll Holdings. He told Print21 that he “felt like a change” and is looking forward to starting the role of group general manager, investor relationships at Toll Holdings.
Replacing Shirer is James Orr, who has been promoted. Orr will continue with his current accountabilities for company secretarial, legal and insurance as well as taking on the investor relations, media, annual report and external communications aspects of the Current Affairs portfolio.
Shirer’s exit, along with the departure of Mark Hooper later this month, means that the company will “streamline” its office functions. Tom Kennedy, currently CFO North American, will take up the role of chief financial officer on 30 August, reporting to PaperlinX managing director, Tom Park.
Wayne Johnston has also been promoted to the role of deputy CFO, and will continue his current duties in financial accounting, consolidation, reporting and systems along with new responsibilities in governance and supporting the board.
