Paul Thompson chosen as Currie Branch Manager, NSW and ACT
A dedication to customer service and passion for the printing industry has seen Paul Thompson chosen for the role of Currie Branch Manager, NSW and ACT.
Thompson will take up his role with the group on Wednesday 9 September at the company’s St Leonard’s offices and showroom. His appointment is indicative of the changing technology mix of the industry, bringing dedicated digital expertise to the role.
“I wanted to remain part of an industry that is experiencing many exciting changes and challenges and was attracted to the role at Curries for three main reasons,” Thompson explained, “Curries has a fantastic reputation as a graphic arts supplier; they have a diverse range of products over a number of different areas and a strong customer focus. These are all very important to me.”

Bernie Robinson, sales director, welcomed Thompson to the company. “We’re very happy to have someone of Paul’s calibre joining the Group. He will bring a breath of fresh air with him,” Robinson said.
With a career spanning digital printing sales and support with Xerox in the UK and the last nine years with Océ in Australia, Thompson is already well known to most of the Currie Group customer base. “It is a very positive move for us. Paul brings new ideas and different strengths to Curries. I’m sure he will add great strength to our line up,” said Robinson.
Thompson looks forward to taking on the role of state manager, which includes dealing with customers from both a sales and service perspective. “I’m excited about carrying on what Curries does well and continuing our strong presence in the marketplace,” Thompson said.
