Pettaras Press is still up for grabs
Interest continues to mount over the sale of iconic Sydney business, Pettaras Press, which is in administration, but no one has yet taken the plunge.
According to Peter Block of PPB, which is handling the administration of the company, run by well-known industry identity, Steve Pettaras, there has been “significant interest” in the business so far, with a decision likely to be announced soon.
“We’re running a process of expressions and waiting on several people to come back to us,” he said.
Pettaras told Print21 that there are “a lot of people who are interested.” Pettaras believes that the best solution would be for a group of printers to buy the business and run it as a co-operative.
Pettaras Press' shock fall from grace happened only last month, catching most by surprise. The award-winning business is a not-so-gentle reminder to the printing industry that the worst is far from over.
