Plate and film price rises from FujiFilm

The company says the price movement will be effective immediately, clocking in at double-digit percentages but may vary depending on markets and regions. It cites the continued escalation of raw materials and energy costs as key reasons for the cost increase.
At time of going to press no announcements had been made on the impact of the price rises, if any, on the local market.
“The action is necessitated by the sustained increase in raw material costs especially silver and aluminium coupled with dramatically higher energy costs,” says Kazuto Sameshima, general manager of the international graphic systems business division at FujiFilm.
“We want to assure our customers that we continue the drive to sustain our leading position in industry in terms of production development and customer service, and to maintain this position the price increase is necessary,” says Sameshima.
