PMP sets up shop online
Print and distribution giant, PMP competes with overseas online retailers with the launch of new website treeet.com.au.
The site, which went live this month, offers consumers access to books, DVDs, CDs, electronic games and magazine subscriptions. According to a statement, the site currently stocks in excess of 2 million products in 600 different categories, from romance books to Wii games.
Craig Davison, managing director of treeet.com.au said that part of the decision to launch the site was to fight back against the prevalence of online stores that operate overseas, such as Amazon.
“We’re extremely excited to launch this website, especially since all the major online entertainment retailers at the moment are based overseas,” he said.
“Because we are Australian-owned it means that all our profits are retained within Australia. It is fantastic to provide an Australian alternative for online shopping.”
To coincide with the launch, the website is offering free standard postage throughout November. “We are really striving to provide that ‘wow’ factor through the best possible customer service and fastest delivery times,” Davison added.
