Sign and graphic supplier Pozitive has displayed a range of equipment at its offices in Eastern Creek, Sydney, in a showcase that includes the first swissQprint Nyala flatbed LED printer to reach Australian shores.
The open day on Thursday September 21 attracted around 40 Pozitive clients, who met with employees and viewed the supplier's range of sign and display solutions. Phil Trumble, managing director, said the event was a great way for customers to interface with Pozitive as a company. "It's a day where customers can come in, meet the whole team and see all the products we supply, from consumables to equipment. We also have representatives here from Roland, Epson and Mimaki. It's a good opportunity to come in to a single location, get hands-on with the equipment, and see what Pozitive does," Trumble said.
A star attraction was the Nyala flatbed LED machine from swissQprint, the first one to arrive in Australia after its launch at FESPA in May. "The big change is the LED curing, which reduces power consumption and allows the user to cure with cooler lamps. There are a lot of benefits to switching to LED," Trumble said.
Trumble is full of praise for the Nyala, which he says is the end result of careful and meticulous development from swissQprint. "SwissQprint traditionally aren't the fastest to switch to new technology, as they want to make sure it's up to their high standards. This new model has been fantastic," he said.
Also on display were machines such as the DGI FabriJet FT-1608 fabric printer, the Bullmer PremiumCut cutting table, the Impact Thunder CNC router, the Argus SCU-1290 laser cutter and engraver, the Roland VersaUV LEF-20 UV printer, and a range of wide-format printers from Epson and Mimaki. "It really shows the wide gamut of products we offer for the sign and graphics industry," Trumble said.
