Pride in Print locks in with PrintNZ annual conference

The NZ industry awards night, Pride in Print, will be held directly after PrintNZ’s biennial conference this June, allowing members to capitalise on travel costs and time.

Now finalised, the conference will be held in Auckland on 28 and 29 June at the Heritage Hotel, with the awards held on the last evening at the Langham Hotel.

According to Joan Grace (pictured), PrintNZ CEO, by merging the two events the association hopes to promote greater cohesion within the industry, a move overwhelmingly supported by its members.

“The feedback we received was that smaller members wanted to be involved in both the PrintNZ 2012 Conference and the Pride in Print Awards and that if they were in the same place following on from one another, more members would be able to sample both.

“We are very keen to ensure that our goals of bringing printers and the print-buying community closer together, and of giving members exposure to international speakers and local experts, are available to the widest-possible spread of members at an affordable price,” she says.

Grace notes that members’ budgets are tight, particularly for small companies and the investment in travel and accommodation has to be maximised.
