The main printing awards event in New Zealand will be an online event this year. Organisers decided against running the event, which was initially scheduled for 8 May and postponed in the Covid crisis.

Sue Archibald, awards manager, said, “After much discussion with industry and results from the recent survey, it has been decided to announce the Pride in Print results from entry into the 2020 campaign on 25 June.”

Pride in Print will release the names of all Gold winners at 3.30pm, and one hour later there will be a virtual presentation, where all Process and Category winners will be revealed, climaxing in the announcement of the Supreme winner.

At the event, the NZ Top Apprentice, Trainer, and Training Company of the Year will also be revealed. In addition, any company reaching the 50 Gold Medal or 100 Gold Medal clubs will be honoured.

Archibald said, “Whilst we cannot be getting together for an industry celebration, we will be celebrating the industry work, and all companies and sponsors have the opportunity to get together in their exclusive groups to celebrate and watch the major announcements on the day.”

New Zealand has just gone into Level 1 restrictions, having eliminated the virus, which at one point sent the country to Level 4, which closed down all but essential business.
