Efficient Workflow - Enhanced Performance - Greater Profit Margins
Heidelberg Australia & New Zealand product manager prepress and workflow, Soeren Lange, explains how this deal will apply to Heidelberg customers.

"Basically, customers who already have Prinect CP2000 or Prinect Print Centre on their press can try any or all of the selected additional modules for 180 days to see how these programs can further enhance the efficiency of their production.

"The modules available in the 180 day trial are normally offered as options, however Heidelberg recognises that buying additional modules can be a challenging decision - especially if customers have not had a chance to experience what these software add-ons can do for their business," he said.

"We're confident that once tried, our customers will be impressed with the results. There is no obligation to buy once the trial period has finished. The trialled modules stop automatically after six months from start date. The only charges a customer can expect are modest fees for installation and training on the installed modules."

The Prinect CP2000 Centre and the Prinect Print Centre modules are Heidelberg's operator interfaces. These Centres integrate various operations in one control station - pre-setting of the machine, press operation, remote ink and register control, press operation data collection and even special applications support for UV printing.

Lange adds: "In essence, the benefit to our customers to try the modules for 180 days is that while these are 'small tools' to add onto their existing system, they offer big benefits. Production can become more automated, with simplified processes and an increase in accuracy, resulting in less re-work. As well you can trial Prinect's connectivity benefits where not only prepress talks to the press, but prepress settings can be transferred down to postpress.

Usually you can't increase prices to customers to achieve a better margin. So doing better in business is all about how to improve efficiency through smarter, more automated production processes."
