Print 21 magazine makes an impact with Anapurna MV

The latest cover of Print 21 magazine took on new dimensions at last week's Visual Impact trade show.

With the help of Agfa's Anapurna MV, the cover was printed on self-adhesive vinyl in under 10 minutes.

The machine, which made its debut at Visual Impact, proved popular with the crowd according to Garry Muratore, marcom manager for Asia Pacific.

"The MV is unique and there was a lot of interest in it from both commercial printers looking for providing point-of-sale material to match existing offset material and the sign and display group who are using the gloss for decorative effects," he said.

Magazine covers weren't all that the Anapurna printed throughout the three days. Muratore lists a series of DVDs as the most interesting print job the machine undertook, though it also printed on wood, glass and plastic.

"We just kept the machines going," he said. "The show was successful and we took a lot of orders.

3,450 visitors attended the three-day show, a 30 per cent increase on last year.
