Print action summit for Sydney next Tuesday

Printers are urged to attend an open meeting for the industry campaign to promote and defend printing as a communications medium.

The meeting is organised by Tim Woods, convenor of the paper – part of every day campaign. Supported by APPITA and most of the major industry associations, it is the follow up to a successful summit in Melbourne two weeks ago.

According to Woods it is vital that the industry comes together over the issue of the sustainability of printing in order to build up widespread support. The campaign seeks among other goals to curtail the spread of mis-information concerning the environmental impact of printing.

Launched late last year the campaign has already attracted notice and generated controversy. It has lodged an offical complaint with the ACCC on enviromental activist Jon Dee's statements about paper and print.

The Sydney summit will be held at 10.00am at

GEON’s Banksmeadow offices.

20 Baker Street, Banksmeadow.
