Print industry flocks to Sydney tradeshow
The Australian print industry has changed considerably from what it was four years ago, but that didn’t stop PrintEx from pulling the crowds on opening day.
At the time of going to press, visitor numbers were not available, but PrintEx chairman, Mitch Mulligan, told Print21 that he was encouraged by both attendance and response to the show so far.
“It’s been a really good and exciting day. We had great attendance at this morning’s opening,” he said. “From speaking to major exhibitors, they are all pleased … there’s definitely a buzz here.”

A four-year gap is a long time, but Mulligan believes the Sydney show still plays just as important a role in the industry. “The relevance is still there – even more so today, as people want to be informed and educated.”
This is the first time that PrintEx has joined forces with Visual Impact, a move which Mulligan is pleased with. “The collocation is great,” he said. “It makes things seamless. It’s an easy show to navigate.”
