THE OPPORTUNITY
Highly structured, well organised and corporate printing organisation looking for well established production manager.

This opportunity is ideal for a manager who is more operational than hands on.

You will be managing a production who is not only very well experienced and professional but a team that is passionate about print, customer service focused, stable, loyal and dedicated whose primary aim is to contribute to the quality assurance and the sustainability of their employer.

 

YOUR ROLE FUNCTION

  • P&L for the Production & Finishing department

  • Manage Production, finishing and dispatch division

  • Tight budget controls

  • Manage a stable, professional and capable print and finishing team

  • Manage stock levels and stock ordering

  • Re-engineering of services

  • HSE (OH&S) applications

  • Wastage reductions

  • Manage suppliers

  • Adhere to and enforce Quality Assurance procedures

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Printing industry experience a MUST

  • Production Management essential

  • Strong PC skills

  • Ability in re-engineering systems, processes & procedures

  • Strong presentation and communication skills

  • People management background

  • Ability to handle pressure from a fast pace environment

  • Capable of drawing efficiency KPIs and methodologies

  • Understanding of lean and green manufacturing processes an advantage however not essential.

  • Ability to define and refine waste management principles

  • Organise scheduled maintenance programmes

  • Professional outlook

  • Ability to liaise with sales, clients and production as well as external stakeholders

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • (If you do not have Local Print experience, you will not be considered)
