Print thrill seeker completes tour de force
Print recruitment identity, James Cryer, rides every mountain as part of the five-day Tour De Timor mountain bike challenge.
Cryer, who maintains an indefatigable exercise regime, pushed himself even further last month, completing five days of mountain bike riding throughout East Timor from 23 to 28 August.
Joining three other riders from Darwin, the awesome foursome better known as The Thrillnecks, may have had “no chance of winning”, according to Cryer, but the event proved a life-changing, if at times daunting, experience.
“I was a physical wreck going up the hills and a nervous wreck going down,” he said. “There were a lot of twists and turns.”

One of the many realisations that the ever-philosophical Cryer gleaned from the trip was that youth in East Timor are all keen to learn English. He recounts being woken up in the morning by eager children wanting to practice their conversational skills.
“Timor might only be 700 kilometres away from Darwin, but it is like a different planet,” Cryer said.
Now, he intends on donating reading material to those in East Timor, and encourages the printing industry to show their support. Anyone interested in getting involved can contact Cryer on james@jdaprintrecruit.com.au
