The Australian paper market has undergone significant upheavals over the past few years, with the sale of the two biggest merchnats to Japanese firms. Jake Nelson reports on how the big players are adapting to a changing sector.

With the sale of Spicers to KPP hard on the heels of Ball & Doggett being bought by JPP, and Australian Paper already in the hands of Nippon Paper, it is safe to say that the local paper business is now benefiting from serious economies of scale.
