Printech kicks off on Sunday at Auckland Showgrounds
Printech begins this Sunday through to next Tuesday. Just under 100 of the industry’s suppliers are confirmed to be exhibiting at the event and organisers confirm they are expecting close to 3,500 visitors over the three days.
Irene Smith, sales manager of Printech, says one of the key goals of the organisers was to provide a level of fun and excitement that goes beyond what is typically seen at an industry tradeshow.
“While the core attraction of this one-in-four-year event are the many live demonstrations of cutting-edge industry technology, we also believe it is important to provide a variety of entertainment for our attendees and exhibitors alike,” she says.
“So, in addition to the 100-plus local and international product stands, we are proud to confirm we will have tailored seminars, all of this year’s Pride In Print Awards winners on display and even a presentation from the inaugural New Zealand Body Art Awards.”
Mary Bourke, event director of the Body Art Awards, says paintings and live art demonstrations will be performed onsite during Printech and will allow attendees to experience something never before seen in the country.
“This is a chance for people to experience and be part of the visual spectacle of the New Zealand Body Art Awards and see New Zealand’s finest artists compete across a diverse range of genres that includes special effects, fantasy, creatures, prosthetics, masks and body painting,” says Bourke.
In addition to the colour management, Apple and Adobe design solutions seminars that are scheduled for Printech, Roland DG will also be staging daily shows on the use of digital print in signage applications.
Conrad Birkett, training services manager for Roland DG, says the seminars will be of particular value to owners, operators and sales staff at signage shops, print bureaus and screen printers and will delve into areas such as correct medias for applications and the importance of profiles.
“For those providing or using bureau print services, we will give you some tips on simplifying your client-to-print-job workflow and adding value to your interaction with your clients. These same tips can be used with your print service providers to try and ensure that you get the expected print and colour results first time,” says Birkett.
Visitor registration is live on the Printech website and attendees are encouraged to register early to guarantee hassle-free entry into the event,
