Printers let their hair down as Movember ends

It was a close shave but the team at DGS Mimaki were happy to get hairy as part of Movember last month.

According to Brad Creighton, sales manager at DGS Mimaki (pictured), the team of nine raised almost two and a half thousand dollars by growing moustaches. “Some of the team enjoyed the mo experience better then others, I personally struggled from about two weeks in, constantly scratching and itching,” he told Print21.

“We only decided to participate the morning of the 1st of November – or should I say the 1st of Movember. So to come up with nearly two and half thousand dollars we are very pleased with the outcome and wish to thank everyone who donated.”

Money raised from the experience will go to Beyond Blue and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. “We had some fun while raising funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer and depression in men. Close to 3,300 men die of prostate cancer in Australia each year and one in eight men will experience depression in their lifetime,” Creighton added. “DGS Mimaki were happy to be associated with Movember and support Beyond Blue & the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.”
