PrintEx a success for DES

Displaying the VUTEk GS3200 wide format printer for the first time on Australian shores, meant that prospective clients could see first-hand the print quality, through put and overall advanced capabilities that the DES Display Graphics team had been talking about over the past few months.

A huge amount of traffic and interest was seen on both the Rastek and the VUTEK. The Rastek on the stand looks like it will be sold by the end of the month and there are numerous client demonstrations scheduled for the Rastek on the H650 and H652.

The VUTEK GS3200 was outstanding at Printex and won a Print21 Hot Picks award. It was definitely a show-stopper, running 127 (600x800) boards per hour (110m2) with four different images printed per print. Many comments on the print quality and production speed were heard throughout the three days of the show.

The DES Colour Management stand was also a great success from both an exposure and education perspective. Predominately visited by offset and digital printers with the occasional designer, agency and trade houses. Customers and prospects alike were met by the latest technologies and solutions from X-Rite, Pantone, EIZO, JUST, CGS, EFI and Chromaticity colour management training courses. The DES team were able to show prospective clients benefits of time saving, lowering costs and aligning multiple devices across the workflow to achieve colour consistency, not to mention taking advantage of prolonging the life of existing investments like older presses with X-Rite scanning solutions.
