PrintEx deal a 'perfect ten' for Taieri Print and Heidelberg
To be installed by Heidelberg, the SM52-10-P is capable of producing a broad range of printed products including business stationery, newsletters, brochures and forms. The Dunedin printing company signed the deal at PrintEx in a move to capitalise on its recent business growth.
Three years ago, Taieri purchased a SM52-2-P, a SM52-4 and a Polysetter platesetter and from here, achieved strong results. "With the increased capacity from those investments our business has grown by nearly 300 per cent in just over three years," said Peter Moore, managing director.
Moore expects that purchasing the ten-colour perfector will only work to enhance Taieri's reputation. "Our new perfecting press will definitely open the door to further growth and specialisation in our market. We will be able to print a double-sided full-colour job in less than half the time it took before," he said. "This offers enormous benefits to our customers such as allowing them to extend their own deadlines, with the quicker turnarounds we can achieve."
Alastair Hadley, general manager sales for Heidelberg Australia and New Zealand echoed Moore's hopes. "This signifies a major investment for Taieri and opens the door to further growth and a continuation of the business relationship between Taieri and Heidelberg," he said.
