Launched last year and distributed in Australia by PES, the printer is aimed at mid to high end users and is designed to print point-of-sale work on a variety of substrates at speeds of up to 600 square metres per hour. It includes the Durst Analytics software platform for pre-emptive maintenance as well as detailed machine and consumption
data, and the Durst Workflow suite of applications.

According to Christoph Gamper, CEO of Durst Group, the P5 250 HS is part of Durst’s big push into large-format print.
“The new P5 platform, including workflow software and advanced service tools, represents our key strategy to further invest into large format printing technology and further afield. We believe that there is a lot to explore in this market space and the P5 250 HS is our first statement.

“In an integrated world, printers need to change as well. With the P5 family we provide tools for change and profit – and our firm commitment to continue to lead the innovation in the large format market,” he says.

The first P5 250 HS has already been sold in Australia to Mezographic, which will install the machine at its Dandenong plant in August after its display at PrintEx.
