PrintEx Escape winner touches down

Mick Cullen, the winner of the Print21 PrintEx Escape, has arrived at the show, and was welcomed by Visual Connections general manager Peter Harper, PrintEx president Jeremy Brew, Visual Connections president Mitch Mulligan and Print21 editor Wayne Robinson.

Cullen is general manager at Southern Colour, Dunedin, the biggest commercial printer south of Christchurch, which runs both offset and digital.

Cullen said, “It was a huge thrill to win the compettion, I would like to say a big thankyou to Visual Connections and Print21."

He is here to look at digtal colour print solutions, and to look at consumables for the company's one year old Komori H-UV offset press.

The industry veteran, who has been with Southern Colour since 2008, also attended yesterday’s Print21 + PKN LIVE New Frontiers in Packaging Print event.

He said, “LIVE was a great experience. The packaging opportunities are emerging with short run, digital, on demand."

PrintEx runs until Friday at Sydney Showground.
