Soft proofing gurus fly in for PrintEx
Soft proofing will be GTI's focus this year and will focus on opportunities such as how to shorten the production cycle, while improving communications between colour image service providers and clients.
GTI will offer two viewing systems designed to achieve consistent colour appearance throughout the reproduction process and help implement successful soft proofing. The systems are:
PDV-2020e/Dx
This desktop model uses the latest multi-voltage electronic ballasts with D50 T8 Graphiclite lamps. The design has been enhanced to provide increased efficiency at a lower cost. All models come pre-assembled with a unique hinged design that allows quick and easy set up for viewing and equally fast fold-up for storage and/or transport. Accessory sidewalls, available for each model, are recommended for tighter compliance to the D50 industry viewing standard. The PDV-2020e/Dx is designed with a dimmer to provide optimum viewing and environmental conditions for critical colour evaluation and soft proofing.
EVS-3552/SP
This large format model combines a conventional colour viewing station with soft-proofing capabilities. Single or dual LCD's ( up to 30" ) can be mounted on the rear wall system and a digital dimmer is fitted to so that accurate soft-proofing can be achieved from monitor to press sheet. This type of viewing station can be configured in many sizes and has many options such as flat file draws and keyboard holder.
