Printing Industries rolls out Economic Briefings
As part of its effort to educate and inform businesses, Printing Industries will be rolling out a number of National Economic Briefings during September and October 2007.
The briefings will provide an overview of prevailing economic conditions in the Australian economy and the printing industry.
Printing Industries national policy and research manager Hagop Tchamkertenian who will be conducting the briefings said: "The briefings will cover key Australian economic indicators such as economic growth, key drivers of growth, sales, producer and consumer inflation; investment; labour costs; profits; exchange rate; and interest rates.
"At the printing industry level the economic briefings will cover economic growth; sectoral growth rates; sales; profits; investment; capacity utilisation rates; selling prices; and impediments to increased production levels.
"Movements in interest rates and the Australian dollar impact on our industry, and businesses in our industry are concerned to find out how such movements will affect their own businesses.
"Equally important are questions such as the rate of economic growth and whether or not it is slowing or accelerating? Or is inflation becoming a problem? Many of these questions and more will be covered in the briefings," he said.
The briefings are suitable for company decision makers, business owners and operators and anyone else who is aspiring to make decisions on a more informed basis.
