PrintNZ conference leans in the right direction
From advice on lean and green through to sales and marketing tips, this year’s PrintNZ conferences taught attendees how to keep print a part of life.
PrintNZ CEO Joan Grace said it was fantastic to see industry members attend the conference and take the opportunity to learn about topics at the core of their business.
“The speakers talked about a range of topics, many of which resulted in much debate and discussion among conference delegates. The feedback we have received so far has been extremely positive and makes the staging of this event very worthwhile,” she said.
“All of our sponsors including Fuji Xerox, Heidelberg, Spicers Paper and Hostmann-Steinberg NZ got right in behind this event and we thank them for their generous support in helping us to provide this professional development opportunity for the industry.”
Making waves: attendees est their surfing skills on a motorised board.
The conference kicked off on 11 October in wintery conditions with delegates enjoying an afternoon of fishing or golf depending on their preference. Ben Hartman of Ferrostaal landed the only catch of the day, while on the golf course the Heidelberg-sponsored Blue Star Group team won the fourth PrintNZ Golf Challenge. The winning team comprised of David Jupe, Peter Ward, Paul Jacomb and Wayne Romminger sported eye-catching “highly visible” outfits. Click here to see it for yourself.
All up, 15 speakers shared their expertise with the conference delegates. The conference embraced the theme Print: Part of life and a large display showcased how Print Champions are incorporating Part of Life material into their own marketing activities.
The conference dinner provided a great opportunity to network while taking part in a quiz competition.
